Drive FR: Nord-Pas-de-Calais (Pt. 1)

Somewhere in the north of France, in a tiny village called Boisjean, there is a traditional French farmhouse which became our home for a week in August.

Called "Le Petit Bois", the farmhouse was anything but petite.  With 5 bedrooms, a huge garden and its very own woods, it was really too big for the four of us and one little boy.  Lucas did get quite delirious with all that space.

He also went a bit crazy on the trampoline.

And who could resist a retractable telephone?

"I am small but this ball is smaller."
"This garden is big."
"And this trampoline is giant!"
Exploring the mole hill with kong-kong.
So what does this little known region of France has to offer?  Lots to excite military history buffs, for sure.  A bit of sun and sea.  Old abbeys.  Awesome cathedrals.  A real Les Miserables connection.  And these were just the few places we visited.
